Danielle Hawkins- The great Lawn
The Great Lawn. We spent almost an entire class criticizing CNU and the way the take care of the lawn. I know its not the most sustainable (who am I kidding, the way CNU does landscaping is probs the most unsustainable thing ever), I think a lot of beauty can be found despite it. I do not propose we overlook the problems that could occur the way CNU treats the land, but I think we can appreciate it for what it is and then go forward advocating for change. I have fallen in love with the great lawn and surrounding trees over and over again, partially because of the beauty and mostly because of the memories that have been made on it. From frisbee to worship, laughter to tears (lol many tears). I have done almost everything on that lawn. It holds a place very dear and near to my heart and I hope to one day bring back my family and share with them the beauty and memories that resonate within the cracks and crevices.
