KT Watson- Gentrifying Trailer Parks: Tiny House Living
It is ironic that people who live in trailer parks are looked down upon, as poor and low class, while 'tiny house living' is seen a chic and trendy. Both forms of living focus on reducing a persons home/environment to save on cost of living. I think this trend came partially from the rising costs of living, people who had to reduce their living space in order to survive rebranding, as not to be associated with more 'trashy' lifestyles, as well as this more nomadic lifestyle being idealized by upper classes.
When judging people for their lifestyle, it important to analyze your own biases and viewpoint.
