Nicolas Pol - Student Reflection 2
Hello,
So I accidentally didn't end up writing a blog every single day. But I still have a lot to say, and a lot more blog posts to write!
In this blog post, I wanted to reflect on my constant trips to Sandy Bottom park in Hampton. I have spent many afternoons at this park to relax and meditate on my life.
A favorite activity of mine at this park is to actually rent the paddle boats that the park's office has on reserve for only two dollars per hour.
Something else that I find interesting about the park was that it's artificial lake used to be a giant trash pit. It makes me think about the concept of place, in that the 'value' of a land/location varies based upon the time that it exists in.
Perhaps in the future, the places that we see on a daily basis, such as Warwick Blvd, will become a much different type of place. Areas that we deem 'ugly' now will always have the potential of becoming something beautiful.
